Does anyone know a whole lot about working from the home on your computer?

I just became a mom for the first time and just hate the thought of leaving my baby. I've heard of the working from home thing but haven't really read into it. I'm just looking for opinions, ideas and also to see if anyone does it and to see if its worth it, the pay the benefits stuff like that.
